[57] ..........................ABSTRACT Methods for preventing or reducing sensation originating in a part of a human body through the application of magnetic flux wither to the lumbar-sacral region of the body or to the cervico-dorsal region of the body. For sensation originating in a part of the body at or below, but remote from the lumbar-sacral region, a first method comprises placing at least one source of magnetic flux in close proximity to the lumbar-sacral region and allowing the source to remain there until the desired effect is achieved. For sensation originating in the upper extremities, a second method comprises placing at least one source of magnetic flux in close proximity to the cervico-dorsal region and allowing the source to remain there until the desired effect is achieved. 31 Claims, 2 Drawing Sheets |
